2011 condensed down to 15 minutes

I've been playing around with Microsoft's Movie Maker a little yesterday and today.  I like it.  Since we stayed in Beaufort SC an extra couple of days, I had time to put together a video and send it off to YouTube.

Looking back on 2011, it was a year of major changes for Pam and I.  We got married, quit our jobs, and took off cruising on Drift Away.   As I scanned through the blog for photos, I was also reminded of how many projects were done on this good old boat, and how far it has come, figuratively and literally.  The boat has come from something ready for the boat bone yard and a chain saw to a boat that works, and that Pam and I love.  All it needs now is cosmetics, and we've traveled 1,200 miles on her.

If you have 15 minutes to spare, check it out.

My next video project will probably involve dolphins and whining dogs.

Today we're off to Hilton Head.

  3. Nice job Dave and Pam. I have thoroughly enjoyed following your trip south. I have made the trip from CT to FL several times and have really enjoyed it. Reading your Blog makes me want to put it on the "Bucket List" and do the trip one more time! Enjoy your voyage....it's a trip of a lifetime.

  4. AWESOME!!! I sure hope this is just the first of MANY that you put together! Note to self... don't buy an old boat cause you'd NEVER get out of port with all that to do. You've done an amazing job on that boat Dave! Maybe I'll quit bugging you about reaching Florida this season. I think you need a few more celebritory beers though!!!

How about a "Day in the life of Dave and Pam" video???
