I am a big fan of the brown pelicans - they "work" for their food, diving to catch fish. They pretty much stay in an area, rather than migrating, and are fascinating to watch... a bit awkward on land, but powerful in the air and on the water. They kinda remind me of the old DC3s. ;-)
