Happy St. Paddy's Day!

Nothing happened yesterday.

Well, not much.  Nothing that you guys would be interested in.  I spent the vast majority of the day working on installing message board software for a small town I used to live in, which is certainly not pertinent to cruising or living aboard.

Today though, we'll be playing tourist and going to St. Patrick's Day celebrations in Savannah, supposedly the second biggest St. Paddy's Day party in the country.  I'll report on that tomorrow, maybe a little later in the morning than usual.

In other developments, the Navi-Nut (patent pending) reseach team has been hard at work at the Black Duck R&D center in Westport, Connecticut and have been pulling out all the stops.  I was concerned about the large amount of money being spent at the Black Duck and VP Kent responded by sending me a pic of his new hire Annie, who is our new vice-president of audit and control and oversees all expenditures and activities at the lab.

The photo is hard to make out and came out a little fuzzy, but she strikes me as being very alert and attentive.

She's on the high end of our salary scale and our R&D budget is reaching a very lofty level, but Kent assures me that Annie is vigilant and loyal and worth every penny.

So today I'll leave you with some of my Irish grandma's sayings, ones I heard many times as a kid.

Be the job big or small, do it well or not at all.

The devil you know is better than the devil you don't know.

May the devil take the hindmost.

And finally, may you be in heaven a half hour before the devil knows you're dead.

See you tomorrow.

  1. Sorry about the fuzzy picture-- It was taken after many tireless hours in the Lab...
